White-On-White

Friday, May 30, 2014
From high-end runways to walking streets, white is trending this year, especially the white-on-white style. You can't deny that the trend looks simple yet classy. Personally, I love Kylie Jenner's style, she can manage looking first-class while keeping her swag on at the same time.

Thumbs up for matching white with silver!

X'MAS throwback

#tbt

Since I just started this blog, forgive me that I don't have much to write about.
I've decided to do some throwback entries. I realized that I've taken a lot of pictures which never really got posted anywhere except a couple on my Instagram. Well you know, posting too many pictures of the same set would annoy your friends.

This was during my winter break in Singapore. It was Christmas season, as you can see from the trees and decorations, how joyous!

Ps. Please excuse the passers-by at the background x_x.

After an exhausting workout session, I filled my stomach with this energy boost called 'Nutro Fiber' (if I remembered correctly), a combination of bananas, soy milk, yoghurt, peanut butter, and cereal.
On my way back from gym under the scorching weather...

Beth & I

Wednesday, May 21, 2014
One thing I love about my sports club is the city view right across it. Make my morning run a lot more enjoyable.

Omg, okay. So Bethany Mota AKA Macbarbie07 came to Bkk a few days back and arranged a Meet and Greet for her Thai fans and I was lucky enough to register on time (they only accepted 300 people). Long story short, I met her and she was the sweetest! We hugged and took some photos together. I can’t even.. she’s so cute!

Meeting the teenage Youtube sensation today, I knew there were gonna be lots of young girls (and there were!), so I didn't wanna look too mature as well as too young. I paired my navy graphic tee which said 'MIDNIGHT SNACK (you can't see the 'snack' here lol)' with a black circle skirt. To give it a more mature look, I wore a statement diamond necklace which also contributed in bringing my outfit out. I wore these black lace shoes from Charles & Keith.

Yay or nay? I've never had anything white and long before because they just never looked good on me. But this.. I was soooooo tempted to buy them!

It's gonna get messy

Monday, May 19, 2014
It actually felt funny ordering a healthy meal in a junk food restaurant. What an irony to even have salad on the menu list. When my chicken salad was served at the table, my other friend and I were speechless because the portion was humongous. We laughed at the fact that this healthy salad could eventually turn the other way around, as you can see from the amount of (fatty) sauce it came with.

To make a simple outfit more interesting, you can add statement accessories as I did with my birdy necklace which also added a pop of color with its turquoise rhinestones embellishment. I like its contrast with the red. I made the look more sophisticated by adding some touches of gold with a simple golden bracelet and watch, and a gold-chain sling bag. But I didn't want to look too fancy so I wore my jellies which apparently had some gold glitters in them.

Jesse & Celine

Sunday, May 18, 2014
Celine: Memory is a wonderful thing if you don't have to deal with the past.
Jesse: Life's hard. It's supposed to be. If we didn't suffer, we'd never learn anything.

After ages ago of watching 'Before Sunrise', a 90's film, I finally had the time to watch its first sequel called 'Before Sunset'. The sequels were nine years apart so the two main characters, Jesse and Celine, of course, have grown more mature than they were in the first film and that is what makes it better. The characters are older and wiser in the way they think and not as reckless. There was still this indescribable connection between both of them and I love how the film is like a documentary.  I could go on and on about, but what I'm trying to say is that I highly recommend this film to any of you who love Romantic films. This film is worth watching.

Casual Saturday

Saturday, May 17, 2014

After many many days of locking myself at home revising for finals, it's finally time to step out of the shell! I went to a mall called 'Mega', which was as its name suggests, mega. Two things I like about this mall: IKEA (first and only one in Bkk) and Cotton On, which is my all time favourite store. In fact, I think half of my closet is from Cotton On *embarrassed*.

Also, lately with my poor diet of junk foods and easy access meals from the convenient stores, I've been craving for some nice meals. My mom was kind enough to let me choose the restaurant to dine. I went for Wine Connection, where we had smoked salmon, fish n' chips, and carbonara which were all so amazingly amazing..

I styled my denim-like sheer shirt with a white high-waisted shorts and white sandals. White really has the power to soften things down. If my pants and shoes were to be black, it would be a different style. Another personal tip of mine is to half tuck in your shirt, which makes your outfit less serious looking, more casual.

White in Black

It’s two minutes past 1 and I’m really bored, so yeah, I’m just gonna ramble. Okay, so I just got done with my finals which meant freshman year has finally come to an end and oh my god, how do I even begin expressing my gratitude *sarcastic*. Let’s just say I’m glad it’s over. Don’t you think uni can be a pain in the a*s sometimes? (well, most of the time, actually). We all have those annoying professors who don’t do much while expecting us to ace their insanely difficult exams. As if that was not enough, we still have to deal with a whole lot of people, a bigger community compared to high school, for example. I know some people may not have had a good experience in high school, but for me, it was a fine one and I met good people who knew me well enough for me to be comfortable around them. But uni is a different story, many times I feel like people have their own agendas making it hard to just get comfortable around them. You know, sometimes it’s better to just keep a face. Like, really, you don’t even know most of their names! My transition into uni in the beginning was really exciting, meeting all the new people who would later on become my friends. I was one of those people looking forward to uni. But now that I’ve been here for almost a year, with all the new people I met, I still feel like I’m adjusting. Everyday is an adjustment. Even after spending a whole year with them, you sometimes feel like you barely knew them at all. However, when there’s black, there’s also white. I’m lucky enough to have met a couple of really lovely people who have given me the hope of successfully and socially surviving the next three years of uni.
